I may have just crawled out from under a rock but I just recently heard that you can make lemonade using honey! What? Listen I have two jars of local raw honey that I have been trying to come up with ways to use because I know how great the benefits of using local raw honey are for you, but…. I don’t really like honey. Yes! I said it. I don’t really like honey. But I sure do love me some fresh squeezed lemonade!

When making this recipe, make sure that you are not buying honey from the store- it’s not local (even if it says it is). Instead try supporting local bee keepers and buy raw honey from them! I am sure there are plenty in your area. Plus, your money will be going to a local family’s small business :). You can see and read about some of the benefits below!
“Raw honey has anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties, and promotes digestive health. Raw, local honey also contains a blend of local pollen, which can strengthen a person’s immune system, and reduce pollen allergy symptoms”.
