DIY Items
Ever since I was a young girl, I always had a passion for DIY projects. I remember reading and making things out of a book called Turn Trash into Treasure at my grandmothers house over a long summer. Can you imagine my excitement when Pinterest was created? That’s when all DIYers goals turned into actually making things that we pinned on Pinterest- haha! I may not have attempted to make the over 10,000 ideas that I have pinned- but I have completed some! I am dedicating this page to the DIY wins that I have had over my years. I hope to be able to save you some trial and error here.
Trash Can Compost Bin–
Many moons ago I made my very first compost bin. I followed a tutorial similar to this one. If you are interested into getting into composting – I fully suggest starting this cheap route while you learn your craft. Find tutorial>> Here
Natural Weed Killer-
Around my driveway we have rocks to keep the driveway from washing down a steep hill it connects to. In this space, we tend to get a lot of weeds. We have sworn off Round Up and harsh chemicals for our yard, so I turned to DIY options to make weed killers. I will admit it I have to give a pretty thick coat, but by noon you will have yourself a bunch of dead weeds! Find tutorial>> Here
Herb Ice Cubes-
I never get to use all of the herbs we grow.. whether we just aren’t eating food that calls for it- or just have too much Like basil- which grows out of control for me {not complaining!} I took an opportunity to save some of my herbs by following this ice cube method. I thought it was clever and super convenient when you are about to start cooking. Find tutorial>> Here
