Crepe Myrtles are huge here in Florida. You really cannot drive anywhere without seeing them for business landscaping or adding to a family home’s curb appeal. They grow beautiful flowers, but do require to be trimmed back to the trunk annually. Typically this happens in Winter.

We have 3 Crepe Myrtles in our yard, and at least 1 of them is 30 years old. It’s as wise as I am, and definitely shows it’s age in size alone. There are limbs growing everywhere. It does need a proper cut back- which gives us the perfect opportunity to show you how we propagate it. Who couldn’t use more Crepe Myrtles? Well if you live in FL, we know what your answer is ;). I plan to convince Derrick to cut down some random brush in the front of our house and then plant Crepe Myrtles in their place.
